The Salina Upward Bound Program is seeking a temporary Instructor for the K-State Manhattan Campus. This position is responsible for developing and teaching summer curriculum to the TRIO Upward Bound (UB) participants. The Upward Bound Summer Program classes will be held June 11-28, 2024. The instructor reports to the Director and works closely with the Academic Services Coordinator. Instructors will develop a curriculum based on designated subject they are hired to teach (English; Science; Financial Literature; Math; Engineering and Technology; Foreign Language during the summer program for income-limited and/or first-generation college-bound students). Instructor must be versatile in designing regular curriculum along with designing a project-based curriculum. Teach 3-4 classes Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday for three weeks. Attend weekly faculty meeting and 1-day training held on June 8, 2024.

About Kansas State College Advising Corps (KSCAC) KSCAC is a college access program aiming to support high school students in finding their best-fit postsecondary pathway. As part of the College Advising Corps network, KSCAC aims to increase the number of first-generation, low-income, and underrepresented students who enter and complete higher education. We hire recent college graduates to serve as College Advisers full-time in high schools across the state of Kansas. Our College Advisers work closely with students to ensure that they are aware of all options, whether it be community college, four-year university, workforce, or military. The Department of Geology at Kansas State University invites applications for a Instructor position for one academic year beginning in August 2024. We seek an enthusiastic and versatile geologists able to contribute to our growing research in Hydrogeology. It is expected that the successful candidate will teach two introductory geology course sections during the Fall 2024 term, and during the Spring 2025 term, one section of introductory geology and one section of Hydrogeology. In addition, the lecturer will contribute to new and exciting research avenues that complement existing research efforts and publish results in peer-reviewed journals. Engagement in graduate and undergraduate mentoring and graduate-level instruction may also be possible.

As a vital Office of the Registrar (REG) member, the Registrar Data and Process Coordinator will report directly to the University Registrar. In this role, they will work closely and collaboratively with various units within REG, providing support as needed to internal business processes and functions. Their primary focus will be supporting existing business processes related to REG, re-designing and streamlining them where appropriate, and updating/creating new business processes if necessary. This position will also enhance all requirements processes, particularly those involving new processes, reports, requirements, courses, and programs. They will review best practices across peer institutions and recommend new structured frameworks, addressing inefficiencies and ambiguities around current SIS processes and reporting needs.
