Kingman County is a two-agent county, located 45 miles west of Wichita on US Highway 54. Kingman County has a population of 7,853. Kingman is the county seat with approximately 3,200 people. Agriculture is a major source of income. Kingman County has a strong 4-H program with five community clubs and three project clubs with over 195 members. This position will lead the development, implementation, and evaluation of research-based educational programming related to agriculture and natural resources. Programming will include but is not limited to: agronomic and livestock production; agricultural economics, management, and public policy; horticultural production and management; and natural resources conservation and environmental stewardship.

This position is responsible for planning and scheduling new electrical distribution centers and maintain and repair the existing distribution centers which control the power for the campus, both high voltage (4,160V – 12,500V) and low voltage (110v, 220V, 240V, 440V, 480V). Be knowledgeable and proficient in the high voltage loop system on campus to enable the back feeding of high voltage to building substations in order to ensure minimum electrical outage time. Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor - Pharmacology in Manhattan, Kansas
The Department of Anatomy and Physiology within the College of Veterinary Medicine at Kansas State University is seeking a pharmacology faculty member (Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor). This is a full-time position with rank and salary commensurate with qualifications. The position is available as (1) a research and teaching appointment (tenure-track/tenured) or (2) a primarily teaching appointment (clinical-track) and may be a 9- or 12-month position based on the applicant. The candidate will be expected to teach pharmacology in the graduate and professional curriculums, and contribute to the service mission of the Department, College, and University. Specific teaching requirements will be tailored to the expertise of the applicant and the needs of the College but it is anticipated that the teaching appointment for this position will be a minimum of 40% for tenure-track and 70% for clinical track. Applicants with the ability to teach additional related biomedical topics, including physiology, are especially desirable. The overall originality and promise of a candidate’s research will be prioritized rather than the candidate’s area of specialization within pharmacology or related fields for tenure-track/tenured candidates. As part of their duties, a tenure-track or tenured candidate will be expected to mentor and train graduate and professional students in an area of the candidate’s expertise and establish and maintain an independent, dynamic, extramurally-funded research program. Assistant or Associate Professor - Animal Breeding and Genetics in Manhattan, Kansas
The Animal Sciences & Industry Department houses the largest undergraduate degree program at Kansas State University in combination with a robust research focus across most primary disciplines and species/products in the animal and food sciences. We are seeking applicants for a 12-month, tenure-track position (70% Teaching, 30% Research). The position will be at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor (commensurate with experience) and located in Manhattan, KS. The successful individual will contribute primarily to the department’s land-grant missions in teaching and research. Teaching responsibilities will include core courses in animal breeding and genetics (currently ASI 500 Genetics and ASI 510 Animal Breeding Principles) and other coursework consistent with the successful individual’s interests and departmental needs. Serving as a faculty advisor for undergraduate students is also expected. The successful individual is expected to contribute to a productive research program relevant to animal agriculture and will have the opportunity to contribute to an established research program in animal breeding and genetics. Expertise in genetic evaluation, high-throughput genome analysis, metagenomics, functional genomics, and/or other areas of genetics or genomics with applications to production efficiency and quality, health, and disease resistance of animals is desired. The successful individual is expected to participate in graduate student training and other relevant teaching and interdisciplinary research activities.
