Diagnostic Technician II-RFFIT in Manhattan, Kansas
The person in this position will participate in the performance of rabies serum neutralization antibody analyses on human and animal sera and rabies antigen dectection on animal tissue samples. For human sera testing, the individual must meet the Clinical Laboratory Improvements Amendments (CLIA) qualifications and requirements for laboratory personnel outlined below. He/she will be responsible for the interpretation and reporting of results and maintaining the quality of test results and reports. The person in this position will also assist in quality assurance, including database and record management, program operations including monitoring quality control data and SOP preparation and updates. Other duties may include assisting with cell culture and maintaining cell lines, participating in communication and outreach to clients and performing quality documentation and scanning. The successful applicant must possess excellent team work, communication and interpersonal skills.
