K-State Olathe is hiring a Fellow Post Doc to help design and engineer a novel deep learning technology that will use visual, audio, and other sensory data to track the behaviors of pigs in a pen continuously and in test arenas that are used to measure cognition and dominance. In light of this technology, the Fellow Post Doc will be requested to perform a comparative analysis from at an adaptive resolution rate based on multiple cameras installed in the pens and arenas designed by Dr. Hulbert for the Sorghum Project. Sorghum fermented products and genome data will be used to mitigate stress, inflammatory, and behavioral responses in adult pigs using computer vision system that must have restricted feed intake to maintain a healthy body weight or reduce weight after becoming overweight. This position is full-time, exempt (salaried), term position.

The Department of Geology at Kansas State University invites applications for a Instructor position for one academic year beginning in August 2024. We seek an enthusiastic and versatile geologists able to contribute to our growing research in Hydrogeology. It is expected that the successful candidate will teach two introductory geology course sections during the Fall 2024 term, and during the Spring 2025 term, one section of introductory geology and one section of Hydrogeology. In addition, the lecturer will contribute to new and exciting research avenues that complement existing research efforts and publish results in peer-reviewed journals. Engagement in graduate and undergraduate mentoring and graduate-level instruction may also be possible.

While there are many responsibilities of someone in this role, this position is primarily responsible for greeting and referring clients and patients, managing admissions, and facilitating appointments. Client Services Assistants also provide exceptional customer service through taking calls from clients, listening to customer needs, and providing helpful solutions to any concerns or issues. Excellent communication skills are utilized daily as this position acts as a liaison between clients, patients, and the hospital service providers.
