The College of Veterinary Medicine is seeking applicants for an Academic Program Specialist. The position coordinates and manages daily operations and provides assistance to the Assistant Dean of Admissions and the Recruitment Coordinator for the College of Veterinary Medicine. This position is an initial contact person for inquiries from the public, unit administrators, faculty, staff, applicants and visitors to the college. This position is responsible for the daily operations of the traditional applicants, early admission applicants and transfer applicants. The Sunflower Extension District consists of Cheyenne, Sherman, and Wallace counties in northwest Kansas. Three agents, three office professionals, and a multi-county agronomist serve the district’s combined population of just over 10,000 people.This position will lead the development, implementation, and evaluation of research-based educational programming related to agriculture and natural resources. Programming topics may include but are not limited to: livestock production; agricultural economics, management, and public policy; horticultural production and management; and natural resources conservation and environmental stewardship.
