Southwind District Nutrition, Food Safety and Health Extension Agent in Other
Extension agents are professional educators, community connectors and innovators who serve as a link between Kansas State University and communities across Kansas. The Southwind District is comprised of Allen, Bourbon, Neosho and Woodson counties in southeast Kansas. The district's staff consists of eight agents, two program assistants and four specialized office professionals. This agent will lead the development, implementation, and evaluation of research-based educational programming related to nutrition, food safety, and health. Programming may include but is not limited to: nutrition through the life cycle; supplemental nutrition education; food security; consumer and food handler food safety; local food systems; physical activity promotion; and chronic disease prevention.

Extension agents are professional educators who serve as a link between Kansas State University and communities across Kansas. Leavenworth County is located northwest of the Kansas City metro area. The current extension office staff consists of three agents and two office professionals. This agent will lead the development, implementation, and evaluation of research-based educational programming related to agriculture and natural resources. Agricultural programming in Leavenworth County will focus heavily on small-acreage farms, horticulture, and youth livestock production.

The Southwind District is comprised of Allen, Bourbon, Neosho and Woodson counties in southeast Kansas. The district’s staff consists of eight agents, two program assistants and four specialized office professionals. This agent will cooperatively lead the development, implementation, and evaluation of a comprehensive 4-H youth development program for school-aged youth in cooperation with local community members and extension colleagues. Southwind District has more than 550 4-H members, 20 4-H clubs and over 100 volunteers.

Wildcat District Horticulture Extension Agent in Other
Extension agents are professional educators, community connectors and innovators who serve as a link between Kansas State University and communities across Kansas. The Wildcat District proudly serves the 98,000+ residents of Crawford, Montgomery, Labette, and Wilson counties. We work with community partners in each county to determine needs and deliver research-based information related to agriculture, natural resources, youth development, families, health, wellness, community vitality, and more. This position will lead the development, implementation, and evaluation of research-based educational programming related to horticulture. Programming may include but is not limited to: horticultural crop production, marketing, and economics; horticultural waste management; landscape maintenance and improvement; and conservation of natural resources.
