Budget/Fiscal Coordinator in Manhattan, Kansas
We will be hiring a part-time Budget/Fiscal Coordinator in the Office of Military and Veterans Affairs, but the individual will be an Administrative Support Center employee that is allocated to the OMVA. This is a new model that is being used by the Division of Communications and Marketing (DCM) in the President’s Office with our new communications officer, which is allocated to the President’s Office, but is an employee of DCM. This role will be able to help the OMVA deal with invoice processing, budget reporting, etc., but will be able to provide enhanced services to support OMVA with travel logistics, office supply ordering, etc.

About Kansas State College Advising Corps (KSCAC) KSCAC is a college access program aiming to support high school students in finding their best-fit postsecondary pathway. As part of the College Advising Corps network, KSCAC aims to increase the number of first-generation, low-income, and underrepresented students who enter and complete higher education. We hire recent college graduates to serve as College Advisers full-time in high schools across the state of Kansas. Our College Advisers work closely with students to ensure that they are aware of all options, whether it be community college, four-year university, workforce, or military. Serve as a College Adviser College advisers and gain invaluable leadership, work, and life skills that are necessary and transferable to any profession. Being an adviser is a transformative experience, contributing to a national movement to ensure all students have access to economic mobility and success. Extension agents are professional educators who serve as a link between Kansas State University and communities across Kansas. Cherokee County is a rural county in the southeast corner of Kansas, bordering Missouri and Oklahoma. Despite being a rural community, there are three larger communities—Joplin, MO; Miami, OK; and Pittsburg, KS—within miles of the county’s borders. Agriculture is the county's main industry, with grain and livestock production contributing significantly to the local economy. This position will lead the development, implementation, and evaluation of research-based educational programming related to agriculture and natural resources. Programming may include but is not limited to: agronomy; livestock production; agricultural economics, management, and public policy; horticultural production and management; and natural resources conservation and environmental stewardship.

Fellow (Post Doc) in Colby, Kansas
The full-time Postdoctoral Research Associate will be an integral part of the Northwest Agronomy team at the Kansas State University Northwest Research-Extension Center, Colby, Kansas. This individual will have leadership responsibilities for the day-to-day operations of multiple research projects that are focused on improving nitrogen use efficiency in dryland cropping systems and reducing nitrogen losses to N2O greenhouse gas emissions and NH3 volatilization. These projects are part of a DOE supported SmartFarm project and a FFAR AgMission project. This individual will take a lead role in the analysis and publication of data resulting from the many aspects of these projects while also being involved in field operations. In addition, the individual will have the opportunity to become involved with a diverse set of projects that include corn, sorghum, wheat, dry beans/pulses, cotton, and other crops in the context of dryland and limited irrigation production systems. Opportunities for involvement could include field operations and data collection, data processing and analysis, publication of peer-reviewed manuscripts, and grant submissions.
