Instructor/Teaching Assistant Professor in Manhattan, Kansas
The Department of Horticulture & Natural Resources at Kansas State University is recruiting an Instructor/Teaching Assistant Professor to contribute to undergraduate education in Wildlife and Outdoor Enterprise Management (WOEM). This position will be a 12-month appointment and will be divided among teaching (80%) and research (20%) activities. Natural resources conservation and management in the United States is largely funded by activities centered around hunting, fishing, and shooting sports. Participation in these activities is growing and businesses supporting these recreational pursuits contribute millions of dollars to local and national economies. The WOEM program in the Department of Horticulture and Natural Resources at K-State is a unique discipline that trains undergraduate students to be leaders in the outdoor industry (e.g., hunting and fishing operations, shooting sports management, and/or habitat management enterprises) while also providing science-based instruction in applied natural resources management. Our graduates use their combined training in natural resources management and business/entrepreneurship to become leaders in the outdoor industry, non-profit organizations, and state and federal agencies.

Enterprise Data Architect in Manhattan, Kansas
As a part of the work of Building Operational Excellence for a Next-Generation Land-Grant University and associated organizational changes, the office of Data, Assessment, and Institutional Research (DAIR) has assumed expanded roles and responsibilities in the areas of data warehouse design, implementation, maintenance and data management. DAIR is the steward of both the current (SQL Server) and the new cloud (Snowflake) data warehouse. This position is responsible for developing data design of conceptual, logical, and physical models in the data warehouses for business intelligence, analytics and application development. This position will work with data stewards and source system subject matter experts to understand the source systems that the data needs to be pulled from and into the data warehouses. This position will work on maintaining the existing data warehouse and development of the cloud data warehouse.
