About This Role: |
The Kansas State University School of Music, Theatre, and Dance invites applications for an Assistant Professor of Music Education (Instrumental or Choral). This full-time, nine-month tenure-track position will start August 18, 2024 with a competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience. Responsibilities include teaching undergraduate and graduate courses in music education, including Secondary Methods in Music Education, Fundamentals of Music Education, Advanced Methods in Music Education, and others to be determined by departmental needs and/or applicant qualifications. The successful candidate will coordinate/supervise student teachers and instruct student teaching seminars, recruit graduate and undergraduate music education majors, supervise graduate students and Ph.D. research, and demonstrate commitment to university service and research. Faculty within the School are expected to develop and maintain positive, collaborative relationships with area music educators, while maintaining an active research/creative agenda and visibility in professional organizations related to music education |
