This position is primarily responsible for triaging phone calls that come into the VHC for patient appointments and consultations. With a substantial knowledge of nursing care, this position actively supports the hospital by serving as an initial point of contact and facilitating communications to help meet patient needs. Working hours for Veterinary Nurses in this position will include daytime hours Monday-Friday. Excellent communication and leadership skills are utilized daily in this position. |

This position is responsible for providing technical nursing services to the Large Animal Barn Section of the KSU-VHC. Primary purpose is to coordinate technical services required for providing quality veterinary care to client, teaching and research patients presented to the Large Animal Barn for treatment. This position is also responsible for monitoring veterinary students and entering information into the electronic medical records system. Stocking and cleanliness of the large animal barn. Lastly, this position is responsible for coordination of animal treatments, instruct, train and supervise students and employees in approved treatment technique(s). |
