About This Role:

The Dean’s Office in the Carl R. Ice College of Engineering is seeking a program/project coordinator to further grow and enhance activities with the college’s corporate partners.  

Coordinate college corporate partnering programs – Develop, plan, manage and direct initiatives in conjunction with the Engineering Leadership and Innovation (ELI) program. Coordinate day-to-day programming including explanations of college policies and procedures, and ensuring all involved comply with program requirements. Oversee student requirements and applications, events, forums and tours. Collaborate with students, administrators, faculty, staff, KSU Foundation, corporate partners and anyone else involved to ensure all aspects of the various programs function effectively. Collect/analyze data and prepare reports.

Maintain a strong relationship with the KSUF development team, our Career Center liaison and department/unit heads as a liaison between these groups and our corporate partners. Provide guidance and advice to faculty, staff and students about event activity resources and policies. Coordinate professional events which include tours, class presentations and social activities. Coordinate pre-event promotions and marketing to enhance awareness and attendance at events. Designs and updates letters, forms, templates and databases for events and corporate partner relations. Works with Associate Dean of Research (ADR), or designee, as first point of contact for discussions with corporate representatives and setting up appropriate interactions as needed during visits. This position may require occasional evening and duties for scheduled activities.

Identify and develop new avenues for corporate partnerships in the college. Support ADR in development of internship feeder program.

Provides support of the Dean’s Office to ensure Dean’s initiatives, directives and deadlines are met.

Other duties as assigned.

What You’ll Need to Succeed:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree. This position may use an educational equivalency as determined relevant by a hiring manager.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Two years of experience in higher education.
  • Highly motivated, team-oriented individual with strong project management skills and problem-solving abilities.
  • Experience managing program/projects and event planning/coordination.
  • Excellent written, oral and interpersonal communication skills. Strong attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated ability to oversee multiple tasks within a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work independently, productively and with minimal supervision.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint).

Anticipated Hiring Salary Range:

$40,576 - $48,000
