Health Information Specialist Manhattan, Kansas On-site requirement
The Veterinary Health Center (VHC) within the College of Veterinary Medicine is seeking Health Information Specialists to join our dedicated team to help facilitate exemplary patient care and quality customer service. While there are many responsibilities of someone in this role, this position is primarily responsible for assisting in the charge capture and management of all medical records for the VHC. This position provides support to the clinical staff by performing real-time auditing services/charge capture during the episode of care and in within the patient care area, primarily in the emergency department. The person in this role should possess critical thinking skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask effectively during times of high patient volume. Excellent communication and organization skills are utilized daily. This position will also serve as primary support for the hospital information system, Instinct, assisting students and staff with help and training as needed and providing back-up support for Client Services. The ideal applicant will be comfortable working in the patient care area and be willing to learn medical terminology. The schedule for Health Information Specialists will include three evenings a week and rotating weekends for a four-day work week.

Fellow (Post Doc) Manhattan, Kansas On-site requirement
We seek an enthusiastic colleague to help lead an experiment co-designed by The Nature Conservancy and researchers at Kansas State University. The experiment will assess the effectiveness of “virtual fence” technology to control cattle grazing locations with the aim of improving conditions for grassland birds, and improving stream health including water quality, stream macroinvertebrates, and streamside vegetation. The Wheat Genetic Resource Center (WGRC) in the department of Plant Pathology at Kansas State University is seeking a full-time Research Associate as a Computational Biologist or Bioinformatics Scientist. A successful candidate will join a vibrant team of researchers investigating diverse aspects of wheat genetics and genomics focusing on the development of resources, tools, and strategies to identify and deploy beneficial wild relative diversity in breeding. The position’s focus will be on the computational analyses of large-scale datasets generated for wheat and its wild relatives in genome mapping experiments aimed at identifying beneficial genomic variation and genes to improve agronomic traits important for wheat production. The position will maintain the WGRC informatical infrastructure while developing and maintaining data storage, organization, and the processing capabilities of the on-going research projects.
21 Central District 4-H Youth Development Extension Agent Other On-site requirement
Extension agents are professional educators, community connectors and innovators who serve as a link between Kansas State University and communities across Kansas. The 21 Central District, encompassing Kinsley and St. John, is in south-central Kansas. This agent will lead the development, implementation, and evaluation of a comprehensive 4-H youth development program for school-aged youth in cooperation with local community members and extension colleagues. The primary focus of this position is youth development, along with adult volunteer development; youth education program development; membership growth and participation; and community partnership expansion. 
Southwind District Nutrition, Food Safety and Health Extension Agent Other On-site requirement
Extension agents are professional educators, community connectors and innovators who serve as a link between Kansas State University and communities across Kansas.  The Southwind District is comprised of Allen, Bourbon, Neosho and Woodson counties in southeast Kansas. The district's staff consists of eight agents, two program assistants and four specialized office professionals. This agent will lead the development, implementation, and evaluation of research-based educational programming related to nutrition, food safety, and health. Programming may include but is not limited to: nutrition through the life cycle; supplemental nutrition education; food security; consumer and food handler food safety; local food systems; physical activity promotion; and chronic disease prevention.
Leavenworth County Agriculture and Natural Resources Extension Agent Other On-site requirement

The current extension office staff consists of three agents and two office professionals. This agent will lead the development, implementation, and evaluation of research-based educational programming related to agriculture and natural resources. Agricultural programming in Leavenworth County will focus heavily on small-acreage farms, horticulture, and youth livestock production.
