The Mike Wiegers Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering invites applications for undergraduate advisor. The department is home to undergraduate programs in biomedical engineering, computer engineering, and electrical engineering. The primary responsibility will be to increase the retention of at-risk students using available tools and best practices. Sharing advising best practices with the department and the College of Engineering Academic Success Center is also expected, along with additional tasks to assist the undergraduate programs in the department.
Assistant Vice President for Talent Strategy and Engagement Manhattan, Kansas On-site requirement
This position serves as the assistant vice president for talent strategy and engagement at Kansas State University. In this role, the incumbent works alongside the CHRO to develop and carry out a strategic vision for HR at K-State, leading functional teams in the areas of talent, learning and development, compensation and organizational effectiveness and employee relations and engagement. This role oversees compliance with federal, state and local laws, regulations and university guidelines with regard to HR activities at the institution, managing and developing institutional policy in support of overall goals. The incumbent regularly collaborates with stakeholders and is one of two leaders who may represent HR in the absence of the CHRO.
Instructor/SAUB-SUM Salina, Kansas On-site requirement
The Salina Upward Bound Program is seeking a temporary Instructor for the K-State Manhattan Campus. This position is responsible for developing and teaching summer curriculum to the TRIO Upward Bound (UB) participants. The Upward Bound Summer Program classes will be held June 11-28, 2024. The instructor reports to the Director and works closely with the Academic Services Coordinator. Instructors will develop a curriculum based on designated subject they are hired to teach (English; Science; Financial Literature; Math; Engineering and Technology; Foreign Language during the summer program for income-limited and/or first-generation college-bound students). Instructor must be versatile in designing regular curriculum along with designing a project-based curriculum. Teach 3-4 classes Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday for three weeks. Attend weekly faculty meeting and 1-day training held on June 8, 2024.

The Department of Anatomy and Physiology within the College of Veterinary Medicine at Kansas State University is seeking a pharmacology faculty member (Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor). This is a full-time position with rank and salary commensurate with qualifications. The position is available as (1) a research and teaching appointment (tenure-track/tenured) or (2) a primarily teaching appointment (clinical-track) and may be a 9- or 12-month position based on the applicant. The candidate will be expected to teach pharmacology in the graduate and professional curriculums, and contribute to the service mission of the Department, College, and University. Specific teaching requirements will be tailored to the expertise of the applicant and the needs of the College but it is anticipated that the teaching appointment for this position will be a minimum of 40% for tenure-track and 70% for clinical track. Applicants with the ability to teach additional related biomedical topics, including physiology, are especially desirable. The overall originality and promise of a candidate’s research will be prioritized rather than the candidate’s area of specialization within pharmacology or related fields for tenure-track/tenured candidates. As part of their duties, a tenure-track or tenured candidate will be expected to mentor and train graduate and professional students in an area of the candidate’s expertise and establish and maintain an independent, dynamic, extramurally-funded research program.
