The Department of Geology at Kansas State University invites applications for a Instructor position for one academic year beginning in August 2024. We seek an enthusiastic and versatile geologists able to contribute to our growing research in Hydrogeology. It is expected that the successful candidate will teach two introductory geology course sections during the Fall 2024 term, and during the Spring 2025 term, one section of introductory geology and one section of Hydrogeology. In addition, the lecturer will contribute to new and exciting research avenues that complement existing research efforts and publish results in peer-reviewed journals. As a vital Office of the Registrar (REG) member, the Registrar Data and Process Coordinator will report directly to the University Registrar. In this role, they will work closely and collaboratively with various units within REG, providing support as needed to internal business processes and functions. Their primary focus will be supporting existing business processes related to REG, re-designing and streamlining them where appropriate, and updating/creating new business processes if necessary. This position will also enhance all requirements processes, particularly those involving new processes, reports, requirements, courses, and programs. The Division of Facilities at K-State is hiring for an Electrician position. This position is responsible for planning and scheduling new electrical distribution centers and maintain and repair the existing distribution centers which control the power for the campus, both high voltage (4,160V – 12,500V) and low voltage (110v, 220V, 240V, 440V, 480V). Be knowledgeable and proficient in the high voltage loop system on campus to enable the back feeding of high voltage to building substations in order to ensure minimum electrical outage time. Work hours are 7:30am to 4pm

Diagnostic Technician I-Necropsy	Manhattan, Kansas	On-site requirement
This position within KSVDL exists to serve the needs of clientele/stakeholders (clients, faculty, residents, students, coworkers) in regards to necropsy and sample reception, and assistance with all activities on the necropsy floor. This position will oversee and manage all necropsy floor activities including scheduling for teaching and research, disinfection, adherence to biosafety procedures and protocols in accordance with the KSVDL quality system, management of student workers, maintenance of equipment, record keeping related to the above activities, and maintenance and oversite of the KSVDL bulk autoclave and tissue digester. This position will also serve as an assistant to pathologists in necropsy procedures and sample collection from other samples (i.e. rabies testing, BSE testing, CWD testing). Some flexibility may be required regarding work hours at selected/occasional times.

This is a relief emergency milking position. Duties include setting up milking equipment, carefully moving cows to and from the milking parlor, prepping cows properly for milking (predippping and cleaning of teats), diagnosing abnormal milk (if mastitis exists then proper milking and disposal of milk must occur), attaching milking machines, and post-dipping teats after milking. The employee sanitizes the equipment before and after each milking shift. In addition, the employee coducts regular inspection of the milk tank compressors, milk line and pump to ensure bulk storage tanks are operating correcting and cooling milk before, during, and after each milking shift. Other miscellaneous animal care duties may be assigned during the milking shift.

The Kansas State Veterinary Diagnostic Laboratory within the College of Veterinary Medicine is seeking applicants for a temporary Diagnostic Technician (level I or II). This position exists to assist with diagnostic specimens and to utilize selective media preparations to enhance the isolation and identification of pathogenic bacteria and to conduct antibacterial sensitivity testing. This employee will assist the laboratory supervisor and other collect faculty in ongoing research projects by isolating and selecting pure colonies of bacteria for identification and pathogenicity studies and refer to reference laboratories where appropriate. The person in this position will assist with analyzing this information and translates it into a report for our clients.

The primary duties of this position will be as a supervisor in the Mailroom and Sample accessioning area of the Rabies Laboratory.
