About This Role

K-State Athletics is seeking qualified applicants for an Administrative Office Manager, which is a full-time, hourly, benefits-eligible position.
 
An example of job duties includes but are not limited to:
  • Onboards new part-time employees by guiding them through the process of completing the required forms and information to input into the HRIS and Time and Leave systems.
  • Responsible for part-time event staff payroll approval and accounting of hours charged to 100+ events per year. This is accomplished by daily monitoring of the University’s Time & Leave system to track various event hours and daily hours for Athletics Operations ensuring accuracy of electronic timecard punches and correct coding of hours.
  • Creates requested purchase order forms for the Athletic Operations unit ensuring accurate information, correct account coding and setting the document up for the correct electronic approval process. 
  • Assists with the department’s key control management.  Ensuring the Athletics Operations office is aware of employee start and end dates to make sure department keys are issued and returned in a timely manner.
  • Completes all other administrative duties as requested by Associate Athletic Director of Event Operations, Sr. Associate Athletic Director of Facilities and/or Director of Human Resources in order to meet the needs of the department. 
  • Other duties as assigned

Worksite Description

This position is On-site.

All employees must reside in the United States when they begin working to comply with state law. K-State is unable to provide remote or hybrid work opportunities for residents of the state of Idaho.

What You'll Need to Succeed

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Associate’s Degree
  • Four or more years of office management experience; education can be substituted for experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree Preferred
  • Familiar with federal/state hiring, time keeping and payroll regulations;
  • Knowledgeable in KSU Human Resource policies and procedures, KSU PeopleSoft and HRIS Systems.

Additional Role Information:

  • Ability to independently and successfully prioritize and multi-task job duties as required; possess ability to maintain effective working relationships with co-workers and public; knowledge of accounting and management principles; knowledge of  various forms of computer software, including but not limited to MS Word, Excel, Access, and Power Point software; understand and be able to prepare and process personnel paperwork; must be able to detect errors and reconcile financial records; and must be able to maintain confidentiality.  Occasional night and weekend work required.

Anticipated Hiring Pay Range

$20.67 - $23.55 per hour
