About This Role

Kansas State University at Salina is seeking applications for a full-time aviation faculty member. The successful candidate shall teach undergraduate students covering subject matters in general aviation and aviation management related curriculum (existing and future courses). 

This is a full-time, 9-month, non-tenure track position.

Kansas State University Salina Aerospace and Technology Campus is located in Salina, Kansas - a town of approximately 50,000 in close proximity to two major highways, and 65 miles west of K-State's main campus in Manhattan. The Salina campus is centered around the student experience emphasizing innovative learning, real-world experiences and industry connections. We are a tight-knit family with a small college feel and the resources of a Big 12 university.

What You'll Need to Succeed

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Masters Degree in Aviation or closely related field
  • Three (3) years minimum technical experience in the aviation industry

The degree requirement is necessary for accreditation purposes and to ensure candidates possess the specialized knowledge, skills, and abilities that can only be attained through a formal educational program at this level.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Ability to connect to the aviation industry
  • Ability to work in a team environment and with a variety of students, faculty, and administration
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Three (3) years instructional experience in an education or training setting

Sponsorship eligibility:

Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. on an ongoing basis without sponsorship
