About This Role

The Accounting Coordinator provides financial and accounting support to the Administrative Support Center (ASC) and its customer departments. This role involves preparing, reconciling, and maintaining financial records, ensuring compliance with university policies, and delivering exceptional customer service. The Accounting Coordinator is the primary business liaison for customer departments and collaborates closely with departments to manage accounts, support grant activities, and handle budgetary and procurement processes.

What You'll Need to Succeed

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree and one year of relevant experience. This position may use an educational equivalency as determined relevant by the hiring manager.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Minimum of two years of experience in accounting, budgeting, or financial reporting.
  • Proficiency in financial software and systems (e.g., Concur, FIS, or similar).
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational, and time-management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
