About This Role

If you are a motivated professional who is eager to learn and take on new challenges, this role may be perfect for you.  As the Business Manager overseeing the daily financial activity of key university functions such as Construction, Facilities Maintenance, Parking & Transportation, and the KSU Police Department, the successful candidate will help ensure that accounting operations, procurement and budgeting are efficient, effective, and in compliance with university policies. This role provides financial reporting and insights, manages three accounting staff, and serves as a collaborative member of the Administrative Support Center leadership team. While a degree in accounting is preferred, degrees in similar fields will be taken into consideration.  Relevant leadership experience may include leadership roles in volunteer organizations. Anyone having an analytical and growth-oriented mindset, a heart for supervising and supporting teammates, and a strong work ethic is encouraged to apply.

Worksite Option

Hybrid eligible 

This position is expected to be performed on-site approximately three (3) days a week. In addition, this position may be required to be performed on-site five (5) days a week during the initial training period. 

What You'll Need to Succeed

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Requires a bachelor’s degree and three years of relevant experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Accounting, or Related Field
  • Three to Five Years Relevant Experience
  • Experience in Construction Accounting and Project Management
  • Excellent Written Communication Skills
  • Expertise in Microsoft Office Applications such as Excel and Word
