The communication/marketing specialist manages communication for the Graduate School. This role is responsible for communication that supports student success initiatives, Graduate School events, internal communication with constituents in graduate programs and the K-State community, alumni relationships, and fundraising efforts.
The Graduate School provides strategic leadership and vision to advance graduate education in directions consistent with university goals and priorities and the evolving role of graduate education in the 21st century. It formulates and implements a comprehensive and visionary strategy for graduate education that engages prospective and current graduate students from Kansas, alumni and community partners. It works collaboratively with academic units and other K-State partners to grow and develop innovative graduate programs and world class graduate education at K-State. In its pursuit of excellence, the Graduate School promotes diversity among students and faculty; programs that serve the needs of individuals, families and society; and research that confronts some of the world’s most pressing problems.
The Graduate School is a partner in the university's goals to lead the nation as a next-generation land-grant university.
