About This Role

Be part of a cleaning team that provides services to K-State residence halls and other Housing and Dining Services facilities. Our full-time, benefits eligible team members ensure that facilities are clean, sanitized, tidy, and welcoming for our student residents and guests. Hotel type services may be provided for University guests. 

Duties include:

  • Performs a variety of cleaning and minor repair tasks including trash removal; vacuuming; dusting; mopping; washing and disinfecting surfaces and fixtures; and cleaning and sanitizing restrooms.  
  • Provides hotel type housekeeping services for conference groups and other guests. 
  • Completes other duties as assigned.  May be asked to attend conferences and workshops; assigned to clean other areas or to fill in for absent employees; and to serve as a “lead” employee or “fill-in” custodial specialist.

What You'll Need to Succeed

Minimum Qualifications:

  • None required

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Custodial/housekeeping
  • Knowledge of commercial/industrial cleaning equipment
  • Ability to work harmoniously and effectively with others
  • Effective oral and written communication skills
  • Knowledge of tools, equipment and materials used in custodial work
  • Ability to make basic repairs, perform basic maintenance tasks

Other Requirements:

  • Bloodborne pathogens training to be completed upon employment

Sponsorship eligibility:

Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. on an ongoing basis without sponsorship
