About This Role

The person in this position will conduct multiple aspects of serum neutralization testing for rabies antibody and rabies diagnostic testing through preparation and testing of samples, interpretation and entry of results. They will also assist with pre- and post-analytical laboratory support tasks throughout the laboratory. These duties and tasks will be conducted in accordance within the scope of all the necessary quality and safety guidelines needed for the laboratory to maintain regulatory compliance. This includes database and record management, monitoring quality control data and SOP preparation and updates. The successful applicant must possess excellent team work, communication and interpersonal skills.

This position is On-site.

All employees must reside in the United States when they begin working to comply with state law. K-State is unable to provide remote or hybrid work opportunities for residents of the state of Idaho.

What You'll Need to Succeed

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Requires a high school diploma (or equivalent) and two years of relevant experience. Requirements may be met through a combination of education and experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in health-related field or other field where rigorous QA practices occur
  • Previous laboratory experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Biology, Medical Laboratory Sciences or related sciences
  • Must have at least 24 credit hours of any combination of Biology and Chemistry to meet CLIA requirements
  • Competent computers skills including word processing, data bases, spreadsheets, and data entry
  • Excellent writing and oral communication skills

Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. on an ongoing basis without sponsorship.
