About This Role

K-State Athletics is seeking qualified applicants for a DIRECTOR OF CREATIVE VIDEO FOR FOOTBALL, which is a full-time, salaried, benefits-eligible position.

An example of job responsibilities includes but is not limited to the following:

  • Oversee K-State Football creative video unit with comprehensive, advanced-level video production by developing the concepts, planning, directing, and editing multimedia projects.
  • Assist the director of recruiting with football recruiting materials and working to align creative concepts between recruiting and main public facing football accounts. Works with football staff in recruiting visits and serves as videographer and content director during recruit visits.
  • Work gamedays to accurately capture the game and environment through video.
  • Other duties as assigned.

What You'll Need to Succeed

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Two to three years working in a sports creative environment
  • Experience working with Adobe Creative Cloud; Premier, Lightroom, Photoshop

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Advanced understanding of DSLR and cinema-style cameras, including but not limited to Sony series
  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite, especially Premier and After Effects
  • Working knowledge of picture profile settings in-camera and color grading in various color profiles of footage, including LOG
  • Experience in lighting and set design
  • Familiar with other video forms such as drones, GoPro and timelapse
  • Understanding of sporting landscape, industry standards and current digital and social media trends
  • Knowledge of NCAA and Big 12 Conference recruiting rules and regulations

Other Requirements:

  • Strong interpersonal, organizational and communications skills, including both verbal and written
  • Exhibit meticulous attention to detail; must be organized and able to prioritize and manage multiple people, projects or tasks simultaneously
  • Must be able to work evenings, weekends and holidays as required; may require occasional travel
  • Ability to maintain strong working relationships with all internal and external staff and management

Anticipated Hiring Pay Range

$42,000 to $45,000
