The Director of Recruiting is a leadership role at Kansas State University Salina, shaping how learners discover, engage with, and ultimately choose the campus. Worksite Description

This position is On-site.

All employees must reside in the United States when they begin working to comply with state law. K-State is unable to provide remote or hybrid work opportunities for residents of the state of Idaho.

What You'll Need to Succeed

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Requires a bachelor's degree and five years of relevant experience in recruitment, sales, client management, or a related field
    • Education beyond the minimum degree requirement may count toward required experience if deemed relevant by the hiring manager.

      The degree requirement ensures candidates possess the strategic, financial, leadership and operational skills essential for directing complex academic student services functions. These competencies are typically developed and validated only through the comprehensive curriculum and experiential learning inherent in a formal degree program.

  • Valid driver's license required upon hire and must be maintained.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s Degree in Higher Education Administration or related field.  
  • Strong knowledge of best practices in recruitment, outreach, and learner engagement. 
  • Proven ability to innovate and adapt to changing student and institutional needs.  
  • Success as a collaborator with strong interpersonal skills. 
  • Demonstrated experience integrating recruitment related technologies into an active enrollment process.  
  • Familiarity with leading CRM software. 
  • Experience managing a budget.

Anticipated Hiring Pay Range

$58,000 - $75,000, depending on qualifications
