About This Role:

The Technology Development Institute (TDI) at Kansas State University seeks a Mechanical Design Engineer to design, build, and test products and machines for a variety of commercial industries. The primary responsibilities will be mechanical design engineering and project management.

Worksite Options:

This position is required to be performed on-site. Work is performed on employer premises or designated assignment location.

What You’ll Need to Succeed:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Requires one year of relevant experience.
  • Bachelor's degree.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • A four-year mechanical and/or agricultural engineering degree with an emphasis in machine design is preferred and at least three years of design engineering experience in multi-disciplined project-based environments.
  • Demonstrated project management experience.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in solid modeling. 
  • Prefer extensive experience in product and/or machine design, mechanical testing and prototyping. Experience in electro-mechanical design considered a plus.
