About This Role

The successful candidate will conduct laboratory experiments using a range of spectroscopy, chromatography, and mass spectrometry techniques. The work will involve profiling the chemical structures of carbohydrates, lipids, and metabolites, and investigating their functional and nutritional properties.

Worksite Description

This position is On-site.

All employees must reside in the United States when they begin working to comply with state law. K-State is unable to provide remote or hybrid work opportunities to residents of Idaho.

What You'll Need to Succeed

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Ph.D. Degree in chemistry, analytical chemistry, food chemistry, biochemistry, polymer science, pharmacology, or a relevant discipline. The degree requirement is necessary to ensure candidates possess the specialized knowledge, skills, and abilities that can only be attained through a formal educational program at this level.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated record of research publications in peer-reviewed journals.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, including clear proficiency in English.
  • Highly motivated with the ability to conduct research independently.
  • Strong background in mass spectrometry and analytical chemistry.
  • At least two years of relevant research experience.
