About This Role

The Veterinary Health Center (VHC) within the College of Veterinary Medicine is seeking a Pharmacist in Charge to join our dedicated team to help facilitate exemplary patient care and quality customer service. This position will be responsible for overseeing all Dispensary operations and maintaining compliance to state and federal statutes and regulations.

What You'll Need to Succeed

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Requires a bachelor's degree in pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy, one year of relevant experience and a valid state pharmaceutical license.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Practical experience dispensing veterinary pharmaceuticals, clinical experience in a teaching hospital environment, and experience in preparation and dispensing chemotherapy.
  • Training in compounding (USP 795, USP 797, and USP 800.
  • Two to three years of working experience.
  • Preceptor designation with the Kansas Board of Pharmacy.
  • Previous experience/success precepting students.

Additional licenses / registrations / certifications:

  • Licensed Pharmacist with Kansas Board of Pharmacy.

Sponsorship eligibility:

Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. on an ongoing basis without sponsorship.
