About This Role

The Kansas State Veterinary Diagnostic Laboratory within the College of Veterinary Medicine, Kansas State University seeks a part-time Program/Project Administrator. This position will organize and manage projects for KSVDL including but not limited to overseeing the centralized, laboratory processes and activities; manage implementation of the new Inventory System/Procurement for the VDL; remodeling/building projects; building a career staff promotional ladder for the VDL with specific accomplishments following HR guidelines. This position will also assist sections and director with HR activities, including recruitment, onboarding, hiring and offboarding and provide leadership and guidance as a lead worker to support staff and oversee daily operations of the KSVDL main office.  This position will also assist Director with scheduling.

What You'll Need to Succeed

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Requires a bachelor’s degree and one year of relevant experience. This position may use an educational equivalency as determined relevant by a hiring manager.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strong attention to detail skills
  • Excellent organization, verbal and written communication skills
  • Computer skills in Microsoft Word/Excel/PowerPoint programs and database programs
  • 3-5 Years of relevant experience

Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. on an ongoing basis without sponsorship.

Anticipated Hiring Pay Range

$22.83 - $35.38 per hour
