This position is responsible for coordinating a high level of outreach program support and office functions to the Center for Intercultural and Multilingual Advocacy (CIMA) and the Institute for Development of Educational Advancement (IDEA). Keeping the director, leadership team and instructors appraised of upcoming workshops, courses and participant/personnel issues. The individual will coordinate office activities and school schedules to ensure smooth operations.
Must be comfortable working in an environment with frequent phone and on-line interaction and able to complete assignments on-time without extensive supervision. The successful candidate will have the ability to interact well with diverse groups of individuals while maintaining a professional demeanor.
The Center for Intercultural and Multilingual Advocacy (CIMA) at Kansas State University champions culturally and linguistically sustaining educational practices. Through research, professional development, undergraduate and graduate coursework, and international collaborations, CIMA supports equitable learning for all. Our programs emphasize Biography-Driven Instruction, ESL education endorsements, migrant education, and dual language education.
