About This Role

The Engagement Coordinator will play a key role in planning, managing, and implementing college-level events and activities. This position collaborates with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders—including students, faculty, staff, administrators, alumni, corporate partners, and the KSU Foundation—to ensure the smooth execution and success of all events.

The Coordinator will work closely with college leadership to develop and execute strategic event plans and will maintain records on alumni/donor engagement and other important college lists. In addition, the role involves developing and directing marketing materials for print, web, and email communications that promote college initiatives and contribute to the advancement of the College of Engineering.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Event Planning & Management: Coordinate and execute college-level events and activities, ensuring alignment with the college's goals and maintaining effective communication with key stakeholders.
  • Collaboration: Partner with students, faculty, staff, alumni, and external partners to coordinate event logistics, communication, and follow-up.
  • Marketing & Communications: Develop, direct, and distribute marketing and written communications, ensuring they align with the college’s standards and strategic goals.
  • Record Maintenance: Maintain records related to alumni, donors, and other key contacts, ensuring data is accurate and up to date.
  • Discretion & Judgment: Make independent decisions regarding best practices, policy implementation, and event execution.
  • Coordination with Teams: Collaborate with the customer service team, marketing, and communication teams as a member of the Dean’s Office staff.

Worksite Option

This position is on-site. This role is expected to be performed on-site five days a week with occasional traveling involved.

What You'll Need to Succeed

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree. This position will use an educational equivalency as determined relevant by the hiring manager.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Team-oriented with strong project management skills and abilities
  • Experience managing programs/projects or event planning/coordination
  • Excellent written, oral and interpersonal communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Experience overseeing multiple tasks within deadlines
  • Ability to work independently productively and with minimal supervision

Anticipated Hiring Pay Range

$21.63-$26.44 per hour ($45,000-$55,000 annually)
