The Anatomy and Physiology department within the College of Veterinary Medicine is looking for a Research Assistant Professor. The person who is hired to this position will prepare research proposals (1-2/year) and manuscripts (1-2/year) with minimum supervision from the PI. Specifically, lead a group of research assistants to: 1) develop and manufacture autogenous vaccines for food animals; 2) design and perform experiments on swine and bovine pathogen diagnostic tests; 3) conduct laboratory and field vaccine evaluation (animal studies) in BSL-2 and BSL-3 space; and 4) ensure the laboratory is in regulatory compliance with university policies. They will present data in lab, national, and international meetings, and also help junior postdoc and graduate students.
This position is onsite.
