About This Role

The Temporary Email Support Specialist will assist the Office of Recruitment and Admissions by managing and responding to emails from both undergraduate and graduate international inquiries within the Slate Inbox system. This role plays a critical part in providing timely and accurate responses to prospective international students, ensuring a positive and engaging experience with Kansas State University.

Worksite Description

This position is Hybrid and/or Remote eligible.

All employees must reside in the United States when they begin working to comply with state law. K-State is unable to provide remote or hybrid work opportunities for residents of the state of Idaho.

What You'll Need to Succeed

Minimum Qualifications:

  • One year of relevant experience in customer service, written communication or data entry. Requirements may be met through a combination of work experience and education.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Strong written communication skills with the ability to draft professional and customer-friendly responses.
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote or in-office environment.
  • Proficiency with technology and systems, including email platforms and CRM tools (experience with Slate CRM is preferred but not required).
  • Cultural competency and understanding of the international student experience.
  • Previous experience in higher education, admissions, or customer service roles.
  • Familiarity with Slate or other CRM systems.
  • Experience responding to inquiries from international audiences.
