About This Role

A Visiting Assistant Professor, one academic year, beginning August 17, 2025. AOS: Open. AOC: Open. PhD or Advanced ABD. Must be able to teach sections of introductory philosophy, ethics and medical ethics. 18 credit hours of instruction per academic year, nominally as three undergraduate courses for each of two semesters (Fall 2025 and Spring 2026), subject to the needs of the department. The successful candidate will demonstrate a commitment to and appreciation for teaching. Beyond teaching, the successful candidate will be expected to undertake very light service duties and to participate in the intellectual life of the department.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • PhD or ABD in Philosophy, AOS open, AOC open
  • Must be able to teach sections of Intro Philosophy, Ethics and Medical Ethics.
  • Commitment to teaching
