About Kansas State College Advising Corps (KSCAC) KSCAC is a college access program aiming to support high school students in finding their best-fit postsecondary pathway. As part of the College Advising Corps network, KSCAC aims to increase the number of first-generation, low-income, and underrepresented students who enter and complete higher education. We hire recent college graduates to serve as College Advisers full-time in high schools across the state of Kansas. Our College Advisers work closely with students to ensure that they are aware of all options, whether it be community college, four-year university, workforce, or military. Being an adviser is a transformative experience, contributing to a national movement to ensure all students have access to economic mobility and success. Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor - Pharmacology in Manhattan, Kansas
The Department of Anatomy and Physiology within the College of Veterinary Medicine at Kansas State University is seeking a pharmacology faculty member (Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor). This is a full-time position with rank and salary commensurate with qualifications. The position is available as (1) a research and teaching appointment (tenure-track/tenured) or (2) a primarily teaching appointment (clinical-track) and may be a 9- or 12-month position based on the applicant. The candidate will be expected to teach pharmacology in the graduate and professional curriculums, and contribute to the service mission of the Department, College, and University. Specific teaching requirements will be tailored to the expertise of the applicant and the needs of the College but it is anticipated that the teaching appointment for this position will be a minimum of 40% for tenure-track and 70% for clinical track. Applicants with the ability to teach additional related biomedical topics, including physiology, are especially desirable. The overall originality and promise of a candidate’s research will be prioritized rather than the candidate’s area of specialization within pharmacology or related fields for tenure-track/tenured candidates. As part of their duties, a tenure-track or tenured candidate will be expected to mentor and train graduate and professional students in an area of the candidate’s expertise and establish and maintain an independent, dynamic, extramurally-funded research program.
