About This Role:

The Division of Biology seeks field technicians for the collection of data on research projects.  The technician will collect and record field data electronically on locations and habitat use by turkeys in remote areas.

What You’ll Need to Succeed:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School diploma

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Experience in capture and handling birds, vhf radio telemetry, vegetation identification of prairie plants
  • Direct experience with capturing and handling turkeys
  • Ability to use Excel and other basic computer programs for data entry, skilled in equipment and vehicle maintenance.

Other Requirements:

  • Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States at the time of employment.
  • Valid driver’s license upon employment.
