About This Role:

The Department of Anatomy and Physiology within the College of Veterinary Medicine at Kansas State University is seeking a full-time Research Assistant. This position plans and conducts experiments, performs experiments on swine viral pathogen diagnostic tests, cell culture, immunoassays; blood collection and sample processing from animals. Keeps good laboratory records; performs routine equipment maintenance; orders reagents, supplies and laboratory equipment. Maintains and updates chemical and laboratory inventories.

What You’ll Need to Succeed:

Minimum Qualifications:

• Requires a bachelor's degree.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Working experience in a BSL-2 research facility with animal pathogen diagnosis and developing molecular diagnostic methods.

Other Requirements:

• Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States at the time of employment.
