About This Role:

The laboratory of Dr. Lorena Passarelli within the Division of Biology seeks a highly motivated person to fill the position of postdoctoral fellow researcher. The qualified individual will investigate mechanisms of invertebrate virus pathogenesis, focusing on candidate viral genes that affect virus replication.

What You’ll Need to Succeed:

Minimum Requirements:

  • Ph.D. in virology, microbiology, cell or molecular biology, biochemistry or related field
  • Laboratory experience and demonstrated productivity as shown by at least two published manuscripts in reputable international journals
  • Excellent technical, organizational, verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to understand and critique primary literature
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
  • Experience in the field of molecular biology

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in virology
