Assistant to the Konza Prairie Environmental Educator Manhattan, Kansas
This is a support position for the Konza Environmental Education Program and the Friends of Konza Prairie.
Clinical Pathology Locum Instructor (Veterinary Diagnostic Laboratory) Manhattan, Kansas
The Kansas State Veterinary Diagnostic Laboratory (KSVDL) is seeking board certified or residency-trained clinical pathologists to provide locum support between January 2022 to August 2022. Scheduling within these dates will be flexible with a preference for 1-4 week blocks. The locum will be responsible for review of cytology samples, secondary review of select hematology cases, and consultation on clinical chemistry, urinalysis, and serum protein electrophoresis, as needed. The locum will provide daily support to residents while they complete their clinical responsibilities.
Athletics Post Grad Intern Manhattan, Kansas
STUDENT-ATHLETE SERVICES POST GRADUATE INTERN: Responsible for assisting in the day to day operations of the Student-Athlete Enhancement Center, including, but not limited to mentoring student-athletes, monitoring the academic progress of selected student-athletes, supervising study table, unofficial initial eligibility evaluations of prospective student-athletes, recruiting, and other projects as assigned by the full-time staff. Exposure to our specialized learning and tutor services, assisting with academically at-risk student-athletes, as well as, new student-athlete orientation, summer bridge student-athlete transition program, and teaching potential in the University Experience course also exist. GA Counselors will also participate in weekly professional development meetings in order to expand knowledge and connect with all SAS staff.
Thomas County Family and Community Wellness Extension Agent Other
Thomas County serves approximately 8,000 people within seven rural communities in northwest Kansas. Fully staffed, this office employs one agriculture and natural resources agent, one family and consumer sciences agent, and one office professional. Extension agents are community based faculty of Kansas State University who make a difference by connecting community needs with university resources. Agents are administratively responsible to the local extension director and the local extension board. This position will provide primary leadership for the development and implementation of research-based educational programming to build healthy, sustainable communities, families, and individuals. Programming will be conducted with volunteers, as well as other community vitality and family and consumer sciences professionals at the local, regional, and state level. Programming may include but is not limited to: strengthening families and individuals, building community capacity, family and community health and wellness, and local volunteer development.
Walnut Creek District Agriculture and Natural Resources Extension Agent Other
Walnut Creek Extension District is comprised of Rush, Ness, and Lane Counties, in west central Kansas. When fully staffed, the district consists of four agents, three office professionals, and three 4-H program assistants. The district has a combined population of approximately 7,280, with 15 rural communities and six school districts. Extension agents are community based faculty of Kansas State University who make a difference by connecting community needs with university resources. Agents are administratively responsible to the local extension director and the local extension board. This position will provide primary leadership for the development and implementation of research-based educational programming related to agriculture and natural resources. Programming will include but is not limited to: agronomic production, agricultural management and public policy, horticultural production and management, natural resources conservation, and environmental stewardship.

The Extension Nutrition Assistants will provide nutrition education to low-income families with young children and youth as part of the goals and objectives of the Expanded Food and Nutrition Education Program (EFNEP). This position provides nutrition education to enrolled families and youth on a daily basis and tailors the content to suit the needs of each client. The position requires strong interpersonal skills in order to effectively recruit and retain program participants and develop collaborative partnerships with community agencies.
Assistant Scientist Manhattan, Kansas
The Agronomy Department at Kansas State University is looking for an Assistant Scientist who will work within the K-State wheat breeding program. This individual will have responsibility for field operations, including experimental design, planting, data collection, harvest and data analysis, as well as greenhouse operations such as planting, harvesting and crossing. The person is also expected to coordinate Fusarium head blight screening efforts in collaboration with personnel in the department of Plant Pathology.

Communicates with Pre-awards to ensure that all contracts are compliant to state and federal agencies.This position is responsible for the budget, accounting, office management, some public relations and oversees numerous reporting requirements in accordance with University and sponsor procedures. Serves as a supervisor for Administrative Assistant/Specialist, Program Assistant, PR assistant and Office Student Workers.
