About This Role:

The Veterinary Health Center (VHC) within the College of Veterinary Medicine is seeking Veterinary Assistants to join our dedicated Exotics service to help provide exemplary patient care and quality customer service. Assisting with patient care is of utmost importance and will be the primary priority for this position. Veterinary Assistants will provide patient care and clerical support to the Exotics faculty, staff, and senior veterinary students. This support will be carried out through responsibilities such as scheduling and preparing for patient appointments, working with clients, stocking necessary supplies, and ensuring the cleanliness of the service area. Working hours for this position will include daytime hours Monday-Friday. Excellent communication skills and attention to detail will be key in succeeding in this position.

What You’ll Need to Succeed:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma and one year of relevant experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Two or more years of experience as a veterinary assistant providing patient care.
  • Ability to handle, restrain, and provide medical treatments to domestic animals.
  • Willingness to master new techniques.

Other Requirements:

  • Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States at the time of employment.

Anticipated Hiring Pay Range:
