The Carl R. Ice College of Engineering at Kansas State University is seeking to fill four full-time positions in academic advising. These positions will provide advising in one or two of the following departments: Architectural Engineering and Construction Science, Biological and Agricultural Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Electrical and Computer Engineering, and Industrial and Manufacturing System Engineering. Advisors are expected to assess and respond to student needs while maintaining confidentiality and providing individualized support. In addition to advising, this position will have recruiting and administrative duties at the department’s discretion that will be balanced with the advising load. The successful candidates will be part of a team of advisors who provide academic advising for all College of Engineering students. The advising team’s overarching mission is to enhance student success by providing individualized and comprehensive advising services that meet the needs of diverse student populations. Professional development opportunities are encouraged and supported by the college to ensure continuous growth in the role.
