About This Role

This position provides administrative support to the Kansas Industrial Extension Service (Engineering Extension, EEX) which includes three program areas -- radon, energy and pollution prevention. The person in this position handles all procurement, payment, and time and leave processing for the department. Also, they handle accounting responsibilities for the grants and contracts (the office is entirely grant funded). They answer the main EEX line. Also, they provide all the administrative support for the summer intern program.

What You'll Need to Succeed

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Requires a high school diploma and one year of relevant experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills; ability to build constructive and effective relationships with a wide range of people.
  • Strong customer-service attitude.
  • Strong organizational skills, including the ability to prioritize and handle multiple projects simultaneously to meet deadlines.
  • Knowledge and proficiency in MS Office Suite including Word, Outlook, Excel and Power Point; internet browsers, email programs and QuickBooks.
  • Familiarity with KSU E-Forms and FIS.
