About This Role

Accountant I will provide direct accounting support to the Shared Services Business Manager working with other accountants in the Shared Services team.

The Accountant I will complete accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions, post them in accounting system, assist faculty/staff with accounting inquiries, and manage Shared Services portal with other SSC team members.

What You'll Need to Succeed

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma and one year of relevant experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Three years of experience in professional accounting/auditing work.
  • Experience in grant administration.
  • Experience working in computer-based accounting system.
  • Familiarity with the State of Kansas and Kansas State University policies and procedures regarding grant expenditure and revenue.
  • The ability to work within a high-volume, fast-paced setting is beneficial with strong attention to detail, organization and time-management skills preferred.
