This position supports the College of Business’s recruitment initiatives by developing and implementing programs designed to engage and attract prospective students from high schools, community colleges, and business focused student organizations.

About This Role

This position will support the recruiting efforts of the College of Business. The individual in this position will develop programming that will attract students from high schools, community colleges, and business-focused student groups and will provide opportunities for the College’s faculty to interact with potential new students. This position will work closely with high schools, community colleges, and business-focused student groups that will aid in the recruitment of new students to the College of Business and lead in the recruitment, training, and supervision of students in the Business Ambassador program.

What You'll Need to Succeed

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Requires a bachelor's degree. Education beyond the minimum degree requirement may count toward required experience if deemed relevant by the hiring manager.

The degree requirement ensures candidates possess advanced first-hand experience in higher education, communication skills and a systems-level understanding of enrollment processes essential for guiding prospective students, interpreting institutional policies and fostering positive engagement throughout the admissions cycle. These competencies are typically developed and rigorously validated only through the comprehensive curriculum and structured learning experiences inherent in a formal bachelor's degree program.

  • Valid driver's license

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in the college recruiting process including new student communications and programming
  • Experience working with high school and community colleges instructors and advisors
  • Outstanding communication skills (written and oral)
  • Experience working with student populations in higher education
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, strong attention to details
  • Ability to work independently as well as within groups
  • Proficiency in Office software, especially Excel
  • Ability to read, write and speak Spanish proficiently
  • Working knowledge of a CRM (Customer Relationship Management) system
  • Experience and comfortability speaking in front of large groups
  • Ability to understand and reflect on one's own experiences and perspectives, as well as those of others, to foster strong relationships and effective collaboration.

Additional Role Information:

  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule including weekends, as needed, for programs and activities
