About This Role

K-State Athletics is seeking qualified applicants for an ASSISTANT DIRECTOR OF GAME PRESENTATIONS & PROMOTIONS, which is a full-time, salaried, benefits-eligible position.

An example of job responsibilities includes but is not limited to the following:

  • Assume responsibility for all in-game entertainment associated with assigned sports with an emphasis on engaging the K-State Family and maximizing the home game atmosphere.
  • Develop, coordinate, and implement comprehensive promotions plans focused on growing revenue and increasing attendance for assigned sports.
  • Develop, coordinate, and implement promotions plans for the Junior Wildcats Club.
  • Assist in developing and implementing strategies to maintain high levels of student involvement and increase student attendance at K-State home events.
  • Serve as the unit’s main liaison with assigned teams, establishing a positive working relationship with the Director of Operations.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, advertising, public relations, sports marketing or related field
  • Excellent written, interpersonal and verbal communication skills with attention to detail
  • Experience with Microsoft Office
  • Working knowledge of NCAA and Big 12 Conference rules

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Postgraduate degree in marketing, adverting, public relations, sports marketing or related field
  • Minimum of two years of experience working in a collegiate athletic marketing office
  • Experience as a show caller/producer and script writing
  • Experience with an Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign or Illustrator)
