The Kansas State University Department of Curriculum and Instruction seeks to appoint a tenure-track assistant or associate professor who can contribute to our graduate programs. Candidates should be prepared to contribute instructional and research agendas to one or more of the following emphasis areas: math education, STEAM education, rural education, and/or mixed methods research. Candidates should also be prepared to quickly position themselves to contribute to graduate teaching and the supervision of doctoral student research.

This position is on-site. Work is performed on employer premises or designated assignment location.
All employees must reside in the United States when they begin working to comply with state law. K-State is unable to provide remote or hybrid work opportunities for residents of the state of Idaho.
Minimum Qualifications:
• EdD/PhD completed by start date.
• PK-12 experience in domestic schools.
• Instructional experience in teacher education.
• Online teaching experience in teacher education.
• Necessary research credentials to receive graduate faculty status on appointment.
• Strong potential for excellence in scholarship and grant writing.
• Academic content and/or research methodological expertise in one or more of the following emphasis areas: math education, STEAM education, rural education, and/or mixed methods research.
The degree requirement is necessary for accreditation purposes and to ensure candidates possess the specialized knowledge, skills, and abilities that can only be attained through a formal educational program at this level.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Evidence of instructional excellence in teacher education.
• Evidence of instructional excellence in online teacher education.
• Evidence of successful doctoral teaching and research supervision.
• Prior experience with field experiences and/or accreditation processes in teacher education.
• Distance supervision experience.
