As the Business Manager overseeing the daily financial activity of key university functions such as Construction, Facilities Maintenance, Parking & Transportation, and the KSU Police Department, the successful candidate will help ensure that accounting operations, procurement and budgeting are efficient, effective, and in compliance with university policies. This role provides financial reporting and insights, manages three accounting staff, and serves as a collaborative member of the Administrative Support Center leadership team. While a degree in accounting is preferred, degrees in similar fields will be taken into consideration. Relevant leadership experience may include leadership roles in volunteer organizations. Anyone having an analytical and growth-oriented mindset, a heart for supervising and supporting teammates, and a strong work ethic is encouraged to apply.
The Division of Financial Services is responsible for assisting and implementing the financial structures that streamline, modernize and integrate the business processes necessary to ensure the university excels in its work and invests in its future. This position is expected to be performed on-site approximately three (3) days a week. In addition, this position may be required to be performed on-site five (5) days a week during the initial training period.
