About This Role

Housing and Dining Services is hiring a skilled carpenter who takes pride in craftsmanship and performing high-quality work. This full-time, benefits-eligible position offers a consistent 40-hour schedule, strong work-life balance, and the chance to join a supportive, team-oriented environment.
Duties include, but are not limited to:
• Performs skilled carpentry and maintenance work to repair, construct, and install building components and furnishings, including walls, ceilings, floors, cabinetry, countertops, and fixtures.
• Repairs furniture and finishes to extend usability.
• Inspects, maintains, and repairs roofing systems to prevent structural damage.
• Installs and repairs drywall, flooring, trim, doors, windows, and related hardware.
• Assists with project planning, material ordering, and blueprint review.
• Maintains tools and equipment, ensures safe work practices, and accurately documents completed work.

Worksite Description

What You'll Need to Succeed

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Requires two years of relevant experience. Requirements may be met through a combination of education and experience.
  • Valid driver's license upon employment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Completion of related trade/vocational school or apprenticeship program
  • Experience repairing and installing cabinetry
  • Experience repairing and installing doors and windows, including trim and molding
  • Experience repairing and finishing drywall
  • Experience repairing and installing various types of flooring and sub-flooring
  • Ability to promote and sustain effective, positive, cordial working relationships
  • Knowledge of tools, equipment and techniques used in the carpentry trade

Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. on an ongoing basis without sponsorship.
