Communications Project Manager

The purpose of the Communications Project Manager is to administer activities associated with the planning and execution of communications, marketing and event projects for the College of Agriculture Dean’s Office. This position will manage project intake, develop creative briefs, establish timelines, coordinate recruitment and stakeholder communication needs, and ensure projects move efficiently from request through completion. The Communications Project Manager will serve as a central point of contact among college leadership, communications staff, campus partners, vendors and contractors while supporting the delivery of high-quality, strategic communications.

This position is On-site.

What You'll Need to Succeed

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma (or equivalent) and seven years of relevant experience. Requirements may be met through a combination of work experience and education.

    Valid driver's license

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a communications-related field.
  • Experience developing and managing project plans, implementation schedules and resource allocations.
  • Experience working in a communications and marketing agency or similar professional communications environment.
  • Knowledge of current agricultural practices and the land grant mission.
  • Experience developing, implementing, and monitoring organizational brand(s) and ensuring branding consistency.
  • Experience with multi-platform communications, including video production and editing; audio production and editing; photography; desktop publishing using the Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Experience with social media tools, web design, blogging platforms, data reporting tools, analytics, keyword searching and search engine optimization (SEO).
