This position will provide entry-level development and support for our PeopleSoft environments (CS and HCM), uAchieve (DARS), and SEVIS processing. Working as part of a collaborative and learning-focused team, this position assists in maintaining and enhancing enterprise systems that support students, faculty, and staff across the university.

Worksite Description

This position is On-site. This position is on-site with the potential to be hybrid in the future. Additional details about potential hybrid work will be discussed during interviews.

All employees must reside in the United States when they begin working to comply with state law. K-State is unable to provide remote or hybrid work opportunities for residents of the state of Idaho.

What You'll Need to Succeed

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Requires a bachelor's degree with two years of relevant experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Five or more years' relevant experience, including some combination of the following:
    a. Conducts a full range of programming tasks to include program design, program coding, debugging, and documentation in a lead role
    b. Object oriented programming
    c. Designs, implements, executes and automates test plans
    d. Designing, developing and maintaining software applications and providing guidance for other developers
    e. Experience with Integration Broker, Web Services
  • Demonstrated ability to include a combination of the following:
    a. Ability to read data models and flow diagrams
    b. Able to find root causes of problems and quickly determine efficient solutions
    c. Ability to anticipate risks and mitigate
    d. Excellent logical, analytical, and strong problem-solving capacity
    e. Ability to work in a team environment and respectfully interact with technical and non-technical users
  • PeopleTools, including Application Designer, Application Engine, PeopleCode, Application Packages, SQR, SQL Developer
  • Analyze and apply PeopleSoft PUM images
  • Unix, AppStream, Peoplesoft security
  • Activity Guides, PeopleSoft Fluid, Work Centers, Approval Framework, AWE, and DMS
  • Knowledge of Oracle Campus Solutions (CS) and Oracle Human Capital Management (HCM) functional processes
  • Experience with Degree Audit Reporting (DARs - uAchieve) programming
  • Experience with SEVIS processing
  • Experience working in a higher education setting
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field
  • Ability to read data models and flow diagrams
  • Able to find root causes of problems and quickly determine efficient solutions
  • Ability to anticipate risks and mitigate
  • Excellent logical, analytical, and strong problem-solving capacity
  • Ability to work in a team environment and respectfully interact with technical and non-technical users
