About This Role

The College of Education at Kansas State University is seeking an Events Coordinator to support the planning, coordination, and execution of a wide range of college-wide events, programs, and engagement initiatives. Reporting directly to the Assistant Director of Enrollment Management & Institutional Partnerships, this position serves as a key operational support role for signature events, student engagement initiatives, scheduling coordination, and administrative event logistics.

The Events Coordinator will assist with planning and executing recruitment events, commencement-related activities, donor and alumni engagement events, student recognition programs, and internal college events. This role also supports communications efforts related to events and serves as a scheduling contact for select college spaces.

The Events Coordinator plays an important role in helping create meaningful experiences that connect students, alumni, faculty, staff, and community stakeholders to the College of Education.

What You'll Need to Succeed

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Requires a high school diploma (or equivalent) and four years of relevant experience. Requirements may be met through a combination of work experience and education.

Preferred Qualifications:

•Bachelor’s Degree
•Experience planning, coordinating, and supporting events or programs
•Strong organizational and project management skills
•Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously
•Strong written and verbal communication skills
•Experience working collaboratively with students, faculty, staff and external partners
•Strong customer service and interpersonal communication skills
•High level of overall computer literacy, including Microsoft Office applications
•Willingness to work occasional evenings and weekends in support of events and programs
•Experience in high education preferred, event coordination, student affairs, hospitality, or related fields preferred

Additional Role Information:

•Ability to lift and transfer event materials and supplies as needed.
•Valid driver's license upon hire.

Sponsorship eligibility:

Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. on an ongoing basis without sponsorship.
