About This Role

The Executive Assistant provides high-level administrative support to the Associate Vice President for the Kansas State University Research Foundation (KSURF) , the Executive Director for Corporate Engagement and their teams. The incumbent serves as a key liaison between internal and external stakeholders, handling sensitive and confidential information with discretion. The role requires exceptional organizational skills and a proactive approach to addressing issues as they arise

This position is jointly supported by Corporate Engagement and the Kansas State University Research Foundation, two units dedicated to expanding Kansas State University’s impact through industry partnerships and innovation. Corporate Engagement connects businesses with K-State’s research, talent, and alumni network, while the Research Foundation accelerates innovation by supporting technology commercialization and external collaboration. Together, the teams collaborate to advance partnerships and innovation across the university.

What You'll Need to Succeed

Minimum Qualifications:

Requires a high school diploma (or equivalent) and nine years of relevant experience. Requirements may be met through a combination of work experience and education.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Demonstrated experience supporting senior or executive leadership, including high-level administrative and organizational responsibilities
  • Proven experience in managing complex calendars, travel arrangements, and project support.
  • Exceptional organizational and time-management skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and other relevant software.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • High degree of professionalism and the ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Adaptability and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with people who have different perspectives.
